Information
Species: Humanoid
Gender: Unknown
Color (s): Brown, white, black
Starting Location: Office
First appearance: Night 1

Slester is an antagonist in Abandoned: Discovery Island.

Description

Appearance

Slester is a creepy humanoid that resembles a voodoo doll of sorts with big empty eyes and a droopy mouth with what appears to be suture marks on its chest and stomach, it could also resemble a Haniwa which are terracotta clay figures that were buried with the dead in Japan between the 3rd and 6th centuries. It also appears to have three needles through its body, one going through its shoulders, and the other through its head. It is orange in color.

Behavior

Slester will appear as early as Night 1 if the player hides under the desk for too long. Unlike the other suits, Slester doesn't appear on the cameras. If the player stays idle while hiding under the desk for too long (and no suits are in the Office), Slester will then kill the player. Slester's reflection can be seen every time while hiding under the desk.

Locations

Slester will only appear in the Office if the player hides for too long. It is presumed that Slester starts immediately right behind the player's back, judging by its reflection visible while the player hides under the desk.

Trivia

  • Slester's name originated from a temporary name given to God, which stood for "Slender's Sister".
  • Slester is the only other character active on Night 6 besides Corruptus or True Mickey in A:DI.
  • Slester's screech is edited from the static sound in the game, Slender: The 8 Pages.
    • Interestingly, Slester's origin of its name explains this, "Slender's Sister."
  • Interesting enough, Slester's texture in the current promo is different than its in-game one.
    • This may be changed in the future.
  • Slester's body can be seen while hiding under the desk in 1.0.2-1 version of the game.
  • Slester bears an uncanny resemblance to shy guys from the Super Mario Bros. Series, this is most likely a coincidence.
  • Slester is the only character whose gender has not yet been determined.
  • Slester did not appear in Revision 1.
