Abandoned: Origins, originally named Night Shift at Treasure Island in development, is a cancelled indie point-and-click survival horror game that would have served as a chronological prequel to Abandoned: Discovery Island.
Summary[]
It happened yesterday. The incident where three died. Only two were human. No animals were killed. The suits were attacked by an unknown person. This caused them to become slightly aggressive. Then, they discovered the non-human corpse. This caused them to become completely hostile, to the point of rage and to kill all people. Your job is to monitor the place to ensure that nobody breaks in, however, you must also survive, from 1 AM to 3 AM in your main Office, and 3 AM to 6 AM in the security area of the secret third floor of the caverns.

- On July 12th, 2024, Desko revealed plans and ideas for the game before it was cancelled through Discord direct messages.
- Not everything was planned in terms of story and structure by the time of cancellation.
- The Suits would have been non-hostile on the first night in a similar manner to Five Nights at Freddy's 3, however they would still move around the building, and everyone would be in Pre-Corrupti Incident condition (The Face would be MickMick, Minnie would be present, Acephalous would have his head, and so on), as this night was intended to be just before the event took place.
- The narrative for the suits would paint them in a more revenge-driven and sane light compared to Abandoned: Discovery Island, although The Face was going to be the most aggressive antagonist for most of the game.
- The protagonist of the game was going to be "your typical silent everyman" protagonist. He did not have much of a personality thought out, and was intended to be an employee of Discovery Island who never experienced or witnessed the Corrupti Incident first-hand.
- The non-human corpse mentioned in the gamepage description was Minnie, confirming that Photo-Negative Minnie is an apparition of her.
